Debbie Watters is a primary and Early Literacy teacher in Elora, Ontario. Debbie and her family quickly discovered a need for a book that would clearly lay out the steps and effects of chemotherapy with gentle humour and compassion. Her husband Shawn and sons Haydn and Emmett (who were 9 and 8 at the time) were instrumental in inspiring and creating this book.
Debbie has also written a one woman comedy show called One Cup Left, which is a humorous reflection on her diagnosis and recovery from breast cancer. She has performed her show widely for breast cancer associations, including Gilda's Club in Toronto-raising thousands of dollars for research and care.
