Shelly Sanders has worked as a freelance writer for almost 20 years. Topics she’s covered include mental and physical disorders, environmentally friendly design, and real estate trends. With an honours degree in English and a degree in journalism, she is now working on a certificate in creative writing.
Shelly was inspired to write The Rachel Trilogy by the story of her grandmother, who fled Russia as a girl to escape the persecution of Jews, finding refuge in Shanghai, China and then moving to America. She went on to become the first Jewish woman to be accepted into University of California, Berkeley's science program.
Shelly lives in Oakville, Ontario with her husband, three children, two dogs, and two lizards.
