Black and Indigenous-Owned Bookstores
As we look for ways to support anti-racism, educate ourselves and our children, and share stories, here’s a list of Black and Indigenous owned bookstores in Canada and the USA.
We were inspired by various lists that have been compiled by others (thank you @blacklitbookclub, @arielbissett, @massybooks, and many more) and to the many who added stores and businesses to this list via social media.
This is NOT an exhaustive list, as we all look in our local area for businesses and organizations to support - bookstores and beyond. If you have other booksellers to add, please email info[at]secondstorypress.ca or let us know via social media! We would love to hear about more stores and assist others in finding them.
We have also compiled a list of Second Story Press books written by Black and Indigenous creators, and you can find them all here.
