Jodie Callaghan

Jodie Callaghan is from the Listuguj Mi’gmaq First Nation in Gespe’gewa’gi (Gaspé Coast in Eastern Quebec). Jodie works as a curriculum developer at the adult education center in her community, where she previously worked as a teacher for over ten years. Jodie also worked as a video journalist for the Aboriginal People’s Television Network. During that time, she had the opportunity to travel all around Mi’gma’gi and share stories from the people in her territory.

Jodie currently resides just outside of her community in Campbellton, New Brunswick, with her husband, two children, and pets. She has a MEd in Curriculum Development and Instruction. Jodie’s first children’s book, The Train, was published in 2020, and the Mi’gmaq/English version, Ga’s / The Train, was published in 2021.
