Sonia Caplan (née Roskes) was born in 1922 in Tarnów, Poland. After surviving the Holocaust, she arrived on North American soil in February 1945. In Canada, Sonia reunited with family, married and raised three children while pursuing studies in literature. Throughout her life, she focused on her love for family and her passion for language and literature. Sonia Caplan passed away in 1987.
