About the Author

Kathy Kacer is a celebrated author of over twenty children’s books about the Holocaust. Her books have won a number of awards, including the Silver Birch, the Red Maple, the Hackmatack, and the Jewish Book Award. A former psychologist, Kathy now travels the globe speaking to children and adults about the importance of keeping the memory of the Holocaust alive. Kathy lives in Toronto with her family.

About the Illustrator

Juliana Kolesova is a Toronto based illustrator with more than twenty five years of experience. She has successfully created hundreds of book covers for for various publishers in Canada, USA, and Europe. Her works have been recognized through numerous national and international awards including Applied Arts awards for illustration, book cover design and photography.
