About the Author

Filomena Gomes has a passion for language, culture, writing and teaching. This is her first children’s book. She lives in Calgary, Alberta with her husband, David, and their three children, Madeleine, Zachary and Éva Simone. She loves them all more than sushi.

About the Illustrator

Ashley Spires is the creator of the award-winning Binky Series. This is the first book of hers to make her hungry while she drew it. She lives in Richmond, British Columbia, with her cats, Gracie and Charlotte, and her favorite foods are strawberries, nectarines and chocolate.
