Camille Perron-Cormier
Camille Perron-Cormier is from the Greater Moncton Area in New Brunswick. She completed a Bachelor of Arts and Design degree with a concentration in comic books at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) in 2018. Since graduating, she has returned to New Brunswick, where she creates comics, illustrations, graphic recordings, graphic design, and leads art workshops.
She has illustrated several children’s books with Éditions Bouton d’or Acadie, a francophone publisher based in New Brunswick. With them, she also launched her first graphic novel series, Crapaud et Romarin, translated into English by Second Story Press as The Willbrook Witches series. She is very happy to present the series to anglophone audiences. The first volume was awarded the Découverte de l’année (Discovery of the Year) award at Les Éloizes in 2024.

About the Translator
Arielle Aaronson
Arielle Aaronson is a French-to-English translator of books, films, TV, and more. Her translations have been shortlisted for the Governor General’s Literary Award and longlisted for the Canada Reads competition. Her translation of “What Burns” won the 2024 regional Commonwealth Short Story prize, and her translation of Alone won the 2024 Richard Allen Chase Memorial Award. She has received grants from both the Canada Council for the Arts and the Centre national du livre (CNL) to advance her translation projects.
Arielle lives in Montreal, Quebec, with her husband, their three children, and an ever-growing pile of books. She currently teaches high school English and has a soft spot for snappy dialogue and big emotions.
