A delightful romp for the young and young-at-heart.

“When I was your age, I never got so muddy jumping in puddles!” If that sounds familiar, you’re bound to understand poor Lisabeth. She can’t seem to do anything that measures up to the smug, perfect little ghost called When-I-was-a-little-girl.

Praise & Recognition

The story is simple, and its sweetly humourous message will amuse parents as well as children. Quill & Quire
This picture book speaks for all children out there. KidsWWrite - Sarah's Stars

"Rachna Gilmore and Renné Benoit have created a lovely book of reminiscence and reality in When-I-was-a-little-girl."

“Although the book is most suited for students in Grades K-2, older students could relate to it, as well as adults. In some discussions (e.g. families, relationships, memories, facial expressions in art) in Grades 3-6, this book might be useful as a ‘jumping off’ point. Highly Recommended.”
